We are delighted that you’re interested in transferring to Susquehanna!
You can complete either the Susquehanna University Application or the Common Application — the choice is up to you!
Susquehanna University Application Common Application
1. Complete the Susquehanna University Application or the Common Application.
2. Official College Transcripts
Submit any and all official college transcripts, including courses taken online.
3. Official High School Transcript
Submit an official high school transcript with your final grades.
4. Optional – SAT/ACT Scores
Applicants with less than two years of college instruction can choose to submit their SAT or ACT exam scores (or both), but can also decide to apply without submitting scores under our test-optional plan. Applicants can indicate this preference on the Susquehanna University Application or the Common Application. Susquehanna uses a holistic review process to evaluate applications for admission because you are much more than your SAT or ACT scores.
To have your official SAT/ACT scores considered for admission, we can accept them from the testing agency or on your official high school transcript. You may self-report your test scores on your application and we will use those scores in the decision-making process. Susquehanna’s College Board code is 2820 and ACT code is 3720.
College Official’s/Dean Report
Upon acceptance, submit the College Official’s Report, to be completed by the registrar or dean of students office at the most current institution attended.
Please note that some programs have additional admission requirements. The admission committee will review your application once all required materials are received.
Susquehanna University welcomes transfer applications from students who are in good academic, social and financial standing at their most recent institution. Transfer students come from two- and four-year schools. University regulations require that all baccalaureate candidates take at least 62 semester hours of their total coursework, including 24 of their last 32 semester hours and their major capstone course and any other course a major program may designate, in residence or in approved off-campus programs. At least half the courses applied to a student’s major or minor must also be taken in residence. Remedial/developmental courses are non-transferable.

CIEE First Year Abroad
Susquehanna University is proud to partner with CIEE. Students start their college experience in one of seven CIEE First Year Abroad locations worldwide before seamless transfer to campus. Susquehanna accepts CIEE credits earned by students via pre-determined course articulation.
There are three major elements of core curriculum coursework at Susquehanna:
- The Central Curriculum forms the broad liberal arts base in preparation for specialized study in any field. Central Curriculum courses are spread over four years and total about 40 percent of the graduation requirements.
- Major programs build on the Central Curriculum foundation and usually total one-third of courses taken. Majors are designed to provide a broad introduction to the theory and practice of each field; students may choose departmental, interdisciplinary or self-designed majors. Each student must complete a capstone course as part of the major program, with a grade of C- or higher.
- Electives typically make up the remaining coursework. These may be used to pursue one or more minors or a second major, to work in an internship, or simply to develop individual interests that may expand career options.
